Travel Bug

One of things I love to do is travel. Once a person has caught the travel bug, there really isn't a cure. I've added the Currency Converter link to my blogspot for recent immigrants, temporary residents, and those of us who want to compare the US $ with other currency.

I like to joke that one of my travel goals is to visit all of the "I" countries I can. I've got a small start: Iceland, Israel, and the Ivory Coast of Africa. I would really love to experience Ireland, India, and Indonesia. How about you? I love travel stories; if you would have one, please tell me about it under the "comment" section of this blog.

Ireland is one of my favorite places in the world! (Well, of the places I've been anyway.) It actually reminded me a lot of Minnesota--it was very green and the people were friendly. Add to that brogues, the sea-side, and Guinness beer, and you've got yourself a good time.

Don't forget Italy! (Unless you've already been there.) My parents were in Italy for about three weeks earlier this year. When my mom was a little girl, she promised her grandfather, who immigrated from Reggio de Calabria, that she'd visit Italy. When they were in Reggio, they got a table in an outside cafe and toasted our Great Grandpa Tabro. Ciao!

How could I forget Italy? I KNEW there was another country I just had to see - Bill's family traveled there last year and absolutely loved it, especially Tuscany. I know Bill and I will love it too. Maybe this summer ...

And now I can say I've been to Italy! We were in Rome and Naples on our 2009 cruise :)
